ERICA MILLER, PhD. is a licensed psychologist who provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations as well as evidenced-based treatment for youth and young adults. She specializes in school refusal, anxiety, depression, learning, and developmental disabilities. Throughout her career, Dr. Miller has focused on helping youth and their families develop positive experiences with school and learning, and to advocate for students’ academic and socio-emotional needs. Having provided clinical care in schools and outpatient settings, she understands how to navigate the educational system in order for students to experience success and growth and to present findings so parents and teachers can truly understand a child’s behavior.

Working with students who present with challenging school and learning behaviors, she is skilled at integrating practical and research-based recommendations to support students and families at home and in school. She brings a genuine sense of curiosity as well as an accessible and collaborative style to all of her interactions. In addition, Dr. Miller is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University where she supervises graduate students in School Psychology and teaches courses in psychological and reading assessment. Beyond her professional roles, Dr. Miller resides in Brooklyn with her spouse, newborn and lively toddler as they too navigate the challenges of COVID-19.


REBECCA SACHS, PhD ABPP, is a licensed psychologist and an expert in the top recommended treatments for Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and OCD. Using a consistent approach and treatments proven to work (such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy with Exposure and Response Prevention, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing), Dr. Sachs has dedicated her career to helping individuals and their families transform suffering and confusion into growth and success. She works together with parents and school systems to provide solutions and high quality care; as a therapist Dr. Sachs has helped many students struggling with school avoidance due to phobias, fears, OCD, social anxiety, undiagnosed learning disabilities, and bullying. She believes in empowering children and their families with knowledge and skills they can use to not only manage current challenges, but to also be ready to handle new problems when they may arise. Dr. Sachs brings warmth, sensitivity and a strong sense of humor to her work.

Board Certified in Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology, Dr. Sachs is a sought after clinician and speaker, regularly presenting at conferences such as the  Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT), Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), and the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF). She was recognized as a rising star by the ADAA, receiving their Career Development Leadership Award in 2015. In addition to being a therapist and Director of Successful School Transitions, Dr. Sachs is a single mother to an energetic and determined pre-schooler. She has been working with students virtually throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and understands how both students and families are feeling particularly overwhelmed and taxed this academic year.
